So i finally graduated boot camp to reach a single disappointment… im still at boot camp…. though i am no longer treated like a recruit, it still sucks to be stuck here where it is -20 degrees…. as opposed to where i am supposed to be, its 79 degrees. though my peacoat does look pretty shnazzy… id still prefer to be in south carolina instead of here…
Bascially i am in THU (Temporary Holding Unit). I am on hold because there is a problem with my medical records… at first they were missing my civilian medical records, so i got that fixxed and now i have to have a new waiver done, because a doctor looked at it and thinks i need one.. for neurology… basically because i have been unconscious 2x in my life, they need to make sure that there are no problems with my brain.. how exciting…
So i have scheduled that appointment for the 22nd of February… and am waiting until then.
Unfortunately there are other people here who are in the same situation i am in and some of them have been here 4+ months…. everyone is saying i will be here a minimum of 4 months… we will see…
So i am technically a sailor however i still have to follow most of the rules of the recruits.. i still cant have any electronics (cell phone,laptop,ipod,etc…), cant wear civilian clothes… stuff like that….

20 degrees? OH my gosh THATS COLD! We had one night here that was 28 and even sitting next to a woodstove, I was trembling. Today I saw my first Bald Eagle. I was lookingthru binoculars at the Strait of Juan De Fuca out the Family room window when it flew thru my sight. I followed it to a tree and then it flew to a tree about 2 acres away. Yesterday I saw large deer crossing the road in front of me. The sun was shining (although itwas cold out) I saw lots of Alpacas, horses, cows, giant pigs, goats, sheep… I am still scouting for the Elk Herd that lives in our town.
